Although at times we may demonstrate the occasional quirk or idiosyncratic frivolity, know that above all else we exist for one sole purpose, and that is to support…

Now we’re not going to get all overzealous about this because let’s face it, being the answer to all things great and all things good is a lofty goal and far from anything to which anyone could ever truly achieve let alone even ardently aspire.
Honestly our purpose and our place is a little more humble, somewhat semi-organic, and very much true to our hometown, Los Angeles.
Oh, and not to mention a whole heck of a lot of good.
No, not good for the sake of good on some metaphysical level; but rather good for the sake of real people making an actual difference in their communities starting with the dollars we as consumers at some daily point opt to spend at places such as our favorite restaurants, the neighborhood dry cleaner, even that chic boutique where you first noticed those hot pair of boots, and how collectively those dollars can impact the…

You see, there are small businesses everywhere around us here in Los Angeles that believe in a simple thing called giving back, and this project is all about saluting them and the myriad of ways they contribute to our communities, the world at large, and consequently the…

Our hope is that we can help you discover one or maybe even two that you can support just by being a fan. We hope you can identify with the causes, non-profits, and charities these businesses hold near and dear.
And we hope ultimately that when you open your wallet – be it to grab some lunch, purchase a baby shower gift for your sister-in-law or grab a bottle of cabernet sauvignon – that you realize those dollars you will soon part with need not go to some faceless multi-national corporation out to strip away every last remnant of your individuality…
(okay maybe that’s a bit harsh)
…just know that there are other options.
Your decisions matter more than you may realize. This project is built on that core belief, and our hope is that you too can support the greater good even if it’s just buying a sandwich for a cause.
(We’ll even promise to keep it a secret if that’s what it takes!!)
So that’s what Beyond Affinity is all about. Giving you the power to make a difference by enhancing your perspective of the small of stature yet huge of heart local establishments throughout Greater Los Angeles.
Know also that if you are a do-gooder, be prepared because the Beyond Affinity Project is on the hunt right now combing the streets of LA.
